A huge success in terms of quality and quantity
The key features of the show for skilled workers, which was held in Neckarsulm at the end of October 2018, were the varied range of sectors represented and the strong emphasis on the region. This was the first time that LQ Mechatronik-Systeme GmbH took the opportunity to introduce the company to interested parties at this venue.
Simone Dürr, Head of Human Resources, summarised the event: "We were very satisfied with the number of visitors on both the Saturday and the Sunday. Keen interest was shown in LQ Mechatronik-Systeme's stand, with a steady stream of visitors and many requests for advice. It was not just young people looking at suitable professions for apprenticeships: skilled workers from different sectors and assembly workers enquired about vacant posts. She added: "Everything was right – the quality and the quantity.”
The regional emphasis of the show meant that a varied mix of sectors and a corresponding wide variety of posts offered were available. "The first applications arrived immediately after the weekend and we are currently going through them," explained Ralf Bührer from LQ's Human Resources Department. They were both pleased that those who had expressed interest came from so many different areas that useful discussions were held about nearly every vacant position in the company.
